The Gospel

The Gospel - God’s good news - offers dying man the hope of life - eternal life - in God’s kingdom. This hope has been made possible by the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, and this eternal life will be granted to God’s faithful servants, when they are raised from the dead at the return of Christ.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16

Our saviour Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. - 2 Timothy 1:10

Thou (God) hast given him (Jesus) power over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom thou hast given him. - John 17:2

The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23

Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt. - Daniel 12:2

For this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. - John 6:40

We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound and the dead will be raised imperishable and we shall be changed ... For this mortal nature must put on immortality ... Then shall come to pass the saying that is written ... death is swallowed up in victory. - 1 Corinthians 15:51-54
